I hope to one day have the opportunity to go overseas to either China, Thailand, or Japan and work there teaching English for about six months to a year. Currently, I am volunteering some of my time at a local elementary school as a mentor and English tutor.

I am a college-graduate of CSU- Sacramento, and studied Intercultural and International Communications. I hope to use my degree in a non-profit or educational setting. I enjoyed learning about different cultures and taking classes to learn specifically about Southeast Asian countries and to build up knowledge on key differences between the United States.

I am a hard-working, reliable, and compassionate person. I am passionate about helping others learn to read, and about volunteering at different non-profit organizations. I am also a Christian, and my faith is very important to me and has had a marked influence on who I am today.

I am also interested in music, since it has been a big part of my life and family. I may not be the most talented musician in my family, but I enjoy playing the piano and guitar whenever I get the chance. I hope and plan to continue to improve my abilities and maybe take lessons again in the future.

Got back not too long ago from my exodus in Nebraska. Mainly went to college there and worked for a bit to pay off the student loans. Happy to be back, mainly because you can drive away from the snow. (not having to scrap snow off your car is sooo nice....) It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to do with my career, at first it was IT, but I found it rather stagnant after awhile, so I turned to look at Law. I find the interaction between technology and law quite interesting, so I'm going to try and pursue that via intellectual property law. Hopefully I'll get into the schools I want...

I find myself inclined towards humor, be it an obscure reference to family guy or to Monty Python's Holy Grail. However I have the ability to take things serious as need be. I'm also inclined towards learning when there is time, from perusing www.dictionary.com, to reading the Economist (I find it gives me a better understanding of the interactions between nations, in addition to the effects of the current economic recession.) I find peoples views interesting, so I might try and pick your brain...literally! ZING!....no not really.

I'm an environmental nut who recycles and doesn't litter. I have an energetic 2 year old "baby" black lab/boxer/Austrailian shepherd mix that I take for 1 to 2 hour daily walks. I'm mostly an at home person, but I do like to go out due to "cabin fever".

Not that this is that important, but I've noticed that astrology does seem to work in mysterious ways. Personally with me being an earth sign, air signs aquarius, gemini, libra and earth signs capricorn, taurus, virgo seem to agree with me more. With water signs pisces, cancer, scorpio and fire signs aries, leo, sagittarius, coming in 3rd and 4th. There are exceptions of course because there are other indicators like rising sign and moon sign that shape a person's character. Anyway this is not that important.

in my defense and for the record... I only feel like I'd be lying to choose 'never' for smoking and drugs.... if it was 'no' I'd choose that...

smoked Salvia 7 times... first 3 times were pretty great... had some interesting.... visions.... last 4 were pretty darn depressing... I'd be removed from the universe... and I'd see the universe and what not as I knew it in front of me... and it'd end ... without me... so yeah stopped that...

And being the curious guy I am, I tried weed once... it was pretty great for 5 minutes... then I was stuck for like 2-3 hours in some kind of confusing mental hell(I kept thinking things... and my thoughts would change fromt hing to thing and I couldnt concentrate) anyway hated that feeling and yeah I don't really 'do' drugs... I've tried a couple and... found that yeah... don't really care for them (Though I would recommend trying salvia at least once)

as for smoking... I smoke electronic cigarettes... so no 2nd hand smoke, 1000's of toxic chems, or smell... and yeah basically it's just for looks.... and smoke rings(more like vapor rings) the ones I ordered have no nicotine in them...

That being said, I love going to the movies, out for coffee, the bookstore, Comic Con, and shopping for things that can be turned into costumes. I'm just a grad school dropout who recently moved back to the area to try and figure out what the next chapter of my life will be. Since a lot of my friends don't live in the area anymore I thought I'd give this site a try and maybe get to meet some cool new people.

When I feel comfortable with people, I do like being the center of attention, but Iâ??m more likely to be in the "spotlight" with family and friends than total strangers.

I do have a tendency to misrepresent myself with what I say from time to time, in that I mean what I say - but not quite the way that I say it. But Iâ??m a charming, if a little kooky, friend and luckily am easily forgiven for my verbal transgressions. You know itâ??s the open mouth insert foot syndrome.

Iâ??m easygoing and have been described on numerous occasions as having a â??flower childâ?? temperament (with a stubborn streak on occasion). I don't want to be the dominate personality in a relationship, but am not looking for someone whoâ??s obnoxiously overbearing nor is passive aggressive. Iâ??d like to find someone that I canâ??t walk all over but doesnâ??t expect me to be a doormat either.

I was raised in the mountains in a town called Northfork which is ½ ways between Fresno and Yosemite, so I do have an affinity for the mountains. I am a girly-tomboy - grew up riding dirtbikes and playing barbies. That mentality is still prevalent today.

I do have an obsessive interest in a â??potential partnerâ??sâ?? dental and personal hygiene. If youâ??ve got yuck mouth or you smell like hot garbage and/or an ashtray - itâ??s just not gonna work out with us.

I enjoy dancing whether it be live music, DJ, or turning my ipod up loud. I'm most comfortable in the kitchen whipping something up for my friends and family to enjoy.

I am a very carefree person I love to laugh and have fun but I also know how to be serious. I like to keep myself in good shape but I also love to eat good food. My favorite types of movies are comedies. I love rock music. I like to occasionally drink but I hate the whole club scene. I would much rather go to a small bar. I love my family and I love God. I'm a pretty average guy. I'm around 5'10", 180lbs (working on slimming down), dark blond hair, green eyes, and a goatee. I work full time and go to law school, so my schedule is pretty busy (but always make time for friends and important people in my life). When I do have spare time I like watching movies, reading, walking, video games, and hanging out with friends. When I can get a chance to get away, I enjoy the outdoors (hiking, sight-seeing, camping, fishing). Not really into the bar/club scene, and quite honestly I'm not that comfortable in large & noisy groups like that. I've lived in Monterey County for the past 25 years. Before that I lived in San Jose, and while Monterey has its shortcomings I don't miss the concrete jungle environment one bit.

My Dad was in the Navy, so I've lived all over... I was born in Texas, lived in Hawaii, New York state, Tennesse, Switzerland, Germany, Philadelphia and California.

I have three children -- my oldest is in his 30s, and the youngest is fifteen and still living with me. I also have two dogs and a pet chicken.

I'm def. someone you will never forget. i've been told by almost everyone that i have changed there life like no one else has. i think life is too short to be anything but happy. im not saying im the happiest person in the world believe me thats not the case, but i do try to be happy and try to find out who it is that makes me happy.and if you dont treat me good, well the truth is i probably gave you a lot more chances then you deserve.

Not much to say... I'm not sure why I haven't deleted this profile yet. I have a pretty decent job for the time being. I have an awesome gf. And I have access to just about every gaming system that is on the market. (I'm a gamer nerd). So what do I have to complain about?

I'm a single DAD with 1 beautiful daughter. I pretty laid back, independent, stable, fun, caring, positive and a lot more....kinda guy! I share my daughter 50/50 a week at a time. I like to Dance, go to movies, comedy clubs, long walks, wine tasting football games and just have fun! I am a single mother of one son who is my life but as he turned 18 doesnt think he needs me as much! Which is a good sign that raised him well...i think! Now i'm ready to start my life again.
